Hilland Finishes Second At Alabama Capstone

BROOKWOOD, Ala. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami sophomoreCamilla Hilland (Lommedalen, Norway) fired a final-round 75 to finish secondat the Alabama Capstone Intercollegiate Championship in Brookwood, Ala.

Hilland (80-77-75-232) finished one stroke behind Sarah Johnston(Alabama) who recorded a 77 on Sunday to finish with a three-round total of231.

The second-place finish for Hilland marks her third top-4 finish ofthe fall season. Hilland finished third at last weekend’s Hatter FallClassic and fourth in Miami’s first tournament of the fall season, theBeacon Woods Invitational.

Overall the Hurricanes (345-330-334-1009) posted a third-round scoreof 334 on Sunday to finish 13th. Tennessee (335-309-302-946) won the teamcompetition by 25 strokes. Mississippi took second with a three-round scoreof 971.

The Hurricanes return to action at the Pine Needles Invitational,October 4-6, in Pinehurst, N.C. The tournament is the final event of the fallseason for Miami.
