Miami Set to Host St. John's
Coral Gables, Fla. – (www.hurricanesports.com) – Miami volleyball hostsSt. John’s on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at the Knight Sports Complex on theUM campus.
The Hurricanes (7-7 overall) look to extend their 5-1 home record against theRed Storm. St. John’s will be the first opponent this season from the BIG EASTfor Miami. UM, playing as an independent in 2001, will begin conference play nextseason.
Miami will also play BIG EAST member Pittsburgh at home on October 27th.
The Hurricanes were scheduled to play Boston College earlier this season in theFIU Tournament. The event was cancelled after the terrorist attacks on September11th.
The St. John’s match on October 17th is the second in a stretch of four home matchesfor Miami. UM began the home stand by sweeping Tulsa on October 11th, 3-0.
The Hurricanes host Central Florida on Saturday, October 20th at noon and NorthTexas on Sunday, October 21st at 2 p.m.
