Men's Cross Country Takes Second At Greentree

Miami, FL (hurricanesports.com) – Senior Jeff Gaulrapp (Baldwinsville, NY) finished second with a time of 26:45.11 to lead the University of Miami men’s cross country team to a 2nd-place finish (30 points) at the Greentree Invitational held Friday evening at Larry and Penny Thompson Park in Miami, FL.

Florida International (29 points) won the event while Florida Atlantic (69 points) took third.

Gaulrapp has now been the Hurricanes top finisher in 13 consecutive races dating back to last season.

Miami had a total of three runners finish among the top four individually. Senior Dan Boniface (Seattle, WA) took 3rd completing the 8,000-meter course in a time of 26:46.08 while sophomore Matt Mulvaney (South Hadley, MA) was fourth (27:00.89).

The Hurricanes return to action on Friday, October 26 when they travel to New York for the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships.
