QThomas White, from Lutz, FL: Dear Paul, Seems to me that Men’s Soccer is a natural for the UM. When do you think the team could be reestablished? Thanks, Tom White, Class 66
A:Men’s soccer is an exciting sport. Many years ago the University had a very competitive team. However, today in order to keep our participation rate in balance we are unable to add any new men’s sports.
Q:Jerome Francis from Davie, Fla: Will there be a time limit to purchase premium seating at the Ryder Center for the 2002-2003 basketball season? I would like to remain in my general seating area but cannot afford to pay $3000 per seat. (I am a season ticket holder and a Hurricane club member).
A: The financing of the Ryder Center is driven in major part by the sale of boxes and seat licenses. Currently, we have sold all of our boxed and 2,400 seats out of roughly 7,000. We will try to sell up to 5,000 seats. We have reserved 1,000 seats for students leaving about 1,000 seats for general sale. All seats in the arena will have excellent views being close in distance than the Miami Arena.
