Q: From Rick Attivo, Middletown, PA: I am currently an assistant AD for a high school district. I was wondering if you had any advice for someone, like myself, who’s goal is becoming an AD on the college level?

A: The key to moving into college sports is to become active in college situations by volunteering your efforts a college at the level you are seeking to enter. By doing so you will become familiar with the staff, operations, leadership and the like. This can have two effects. First, they might have a plan for you or second, they may know someone else with a position.

Q:Isidro Garcia, (email: caneduck@….) West Palm Beach, Florida: As you may be able to guess from my e-mail address, ours is a divided household. My wife is a native of Oregon and loves the Ducks, I am a Hurricane fan, and have converted her over the years. My question is, what are the chances of a Cane-Duck game, home and away? It would be awesome, televised and give us an excuse to freeload on her family. Also, try to set it for late October or November so we can do some skiing with the kids at Mt. Hood.

A: We’ve never played the Ducks. We have a great relationship with the PAC-10 having played ASU, Arizona, UCLA, Cal and Washington in the last 10 years. While I’ve never spoken to the people there, perhaps we’ll have a change to talk at a future date.. At this time we have no plans.
