UM Golfers Finish 12th

Browns Summit, NC (www.hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s golf team shot a final round 297 and finished in 12th-place with a three-day total of 923 at the Bryan National Collegiate Women’s Golf Tournament at Bryan Park Champions Golf Club in Browns Summit, NC.
Duke, the No. 1 ranked team in the nation, finished with a three-round score of 856 to win the team championship. Duke finished 23 strokes ahead of host Wake Forest who finished second (879).
Duke’s Candy Hannemann (72-69-68–209) fired a final-round four-under-par 68 to win the individual championship by three stokes over teammate Virada Nirapathpongporn (72-69-71–212).
Miami was led by senior Ashleigh Barrett-Hamilton (Zimbabwe) who fired a final round 73 to finish in a tie for 23rd (80-71-73–224). Freshman Jazmin Cataldo (Paraguay) recorded the Hurricanes’ best score of the day with a one-under-par 71. Cataldo (80-76-71–227) finished in a tie for 33rd.
