Barrett-Hamilton Leads Women's Golfers In Round Two

Browns Summit, NC (www.hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami senior Ashleigh Barrett-Hamilton (Zimbabwe) fired a one-under-par 71 Saturday to move into a tie for 24th heading into Sunday’s final round of the Bryan National Collegiate Women’s Golf Tournament in Browns Summit, NC.
Barrett-Hamilton, who stood in a tie for 52nd after shooting an opening-round 80, jumped 28 spots with her two-day total of 151. Duke teammates Candy Hanneman and Virada Nirapathpongporn are tied for first with two-day totals of 141. Both shot 69 on Saturday.
Duke (289-288–577), ranked No. 1 in the nation, leads the team competition while host Wake Forest (294-293–587) is 10-strokes back in second. The University of Miami shot 304 on Saturday and is in 15th-place with a two-round total of 626.
Competition concludes Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
