Bradenton, FL – Miami freshman Jazmin Cataldo (Paraguay) fired an opening-round 74 and is in a tie for ninth-place after one round of the Waterlefe-USF Invitational at Waterlefe Golf & River Club in Bradenton, FL.
Cataldo is four stokes behind first-round leader Tanja Arnold who shot a two-under-par 70 on the opening day of competition. Christie Hermes (Northwestern) is one stroke back after a first-round 71.
As a team, Miami shot a combined 313 on day one and is in eighth-place. Northwestern leads the field after posting an opening round 290. Host South Florida (299) is in second while Campbell (304) is third.
