Hurricanes Finish Strong At Georgia Diving Invitiational

Athens, GA – University of Miami sophomore divers Kyle Prandi (Strongville, OH) and Katie Beth Bryant (Chatham, IL) secured first-place finishes at the 2001 Georgia Diving Invitational.

Prandi won the 3-meter event with a final score of 592.85, surpassing second-place finisher Brandon Hulko (545.15) of South Carolina and Caesar Garcia (530.10) of Auburn finishing third. Prandi also had a fifth-place finish in the 1-meter event with a score of 284.15 with Jud Campbell (U. Georgia) finishing first with a score of 353.90.

Bryant and junior Emily Spychala (Odessa, FL) finished first and second in the 1-meter event with scores of 318.65 and 282.50, respectively. Bryant also won the 3-meter event (567.45) while Spychala finishing third with a score of 487.70.

The Swimming and Diving team will host UNLV on January 13 at the Norman Whitten Pool in Coral Gables.
