Hurricane Golfers Travel To Lady Paladin Invitational

Greenville, SC – The University of Miami women’s golf team will compete against some of the nation’s top teams this weekend at the Lady Paladin Invitational being held October 20-22 at the Furman University Golf course in Greenville, SC.
The 22-team field includes 12 teams ranked among the nation’s top-50 in the latest Golfweek collegiate rankings.
Joining UM in the impressive field will be No. 6 Auburn, No. 22 Mississippi State, No. 23 Georgia, No. 24 TCU, No. 25 Wake Forest, No. 26 Vanderbilt, No. 36 South Carolina, host and 39th-ranked Furman, No. 46 North Carolina, No. 48 Memphis, No. 49 Florida State and No. 50 Louisville.
Other teams competing include Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Florida, Kentucky, UNC Greensboro, Tulane, Winthrop and Wooford.
The Hurricanes are coming off an impressive fifth-place finish at the Beacon Woods Invitational last weekend.
Sophomore Dominique Gagnon (La Romana, Domincan Republic) finished in a tie for 12th place (78-76-75–229) to lead Miami. UM senior Ashleigh Barrett-Hamilton (Karoi, Zimbabwe) also played well finishing in a tie for 20th (78-77-77–232).
