Gagnon Leads UM Golfers At Fall Preview

Miami sophomore Dominique Gagnon (La Romana, Dominican Republic) shot an opening round 78 to lead the Hurricanes at the Stetson NCAA Fall Preview being held at Mission Inn Golf &Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.
Gagnon, currently in a tie for 40th place, is seven strokes behind co-leaders Cristina Baena (Arizona) and Katy Harris (LSU) who both fired one-under-par 71 to take the first round lead.
The Hurricanes, competing with two freshman and two sophomores, shot a team total of 318 and is currently in 17th place. Duke University leads the event after posting a first round score of 296.
Sophomore Camilla Hilland (Lommedalen, Norway), competing in her first collegiate tournament, shot a opening round 79 and is in a tie for 58th. Freshmen Jazmin Cataldo (Asuncion, Paraguay) and Katie Buscemi (Plantation, FL) also performed well in their first collegiate action. Cataldo (40-40–80) is currently in a tie for 66th while Buscemi (42-39–81) is in a tie for 75th.
