Hurricane Teams Earn Unique Triple

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami is the only Division I school in the 1999-2000 season to have three teams make the top 16 nationally.
The 1999 football team, which finished 9-4 including a 28-13 win over Georgia Tech in the Gator Bowl, was ranked 15th in both the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN poll.
The 1999-2000 men’s basketball team went 23-11 and advanced to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.
The Hurricane baseball team finished with a 41-19-1 record and advanced to a berth in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Super Regional.
