Moss, Moser Headed To NCAA's

Coral Gables, FL – The University of Miami juniors Santana Moss (Carol City) and Aaron Moser (Bonne Terre, MO) have both qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships being held May 31-June 3 in Durham, NC.

Moss, who was named the 2000 BIG EAST Most Outstanding Field Performer after winning conference titles in the long jump and triple jump, will compete in the long jump at this year’s NCAA Championships.

Moss, who ranks ninth in the nation in the long, was the leading receiver on the Hurricanes’ football team last season recording 54 receptions for 899 yards and six touchdowns.

Moss is attempting to become the first Hurricane since Horace Copeland in 1992 to earn All-America honors in the long jump.

Moser, also member of the Miami football team as a defensive back, qualified in the decathlon becoming the first Hurricane to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the event. Moser is the three-time defending BIG EAST Champion in the decathlon and currently ranks 11th in the nation.
