UM's Band of the Hour Marches On With $1 Million Gift

Coral Gables – – The University of Miami has announced a $1 million gift from Dr. Phillip Frost, chairman and CEO of Ivax Corporation, and his wife Patricia Frost benefiting UM’s marching band, the Band of the Hour. Formerly housed in the Department of Athletics, the marching band was recently placed under the administration of the School of Music.
