Hurricanes Finish Twelfth

CORAL GABLES, FL -The University of Miami women’s golf team finished in 12th place at the River Wilderness Women’s Golf Invitational at the Waterlefe Golf & River Club in Bradenton, FL. The Hurricanes posted a three-round total of 957 (324-310-323) to secure the finish at the 15-school tournament which concluded Tuesday.

Miami was led by junior Ashleigh Barrett-Hamilton who finished in a tie for 16th place individually with a three-round score of 232 (81-71-80). Barrett-Hamilton’s second-round score of 71 tied as the field’s third-best score of the tournament.

UM sophomore Lavana Davis finished in a tie for 29th place after posting a three-round score of 237 (75-82-80). Senior Lorna Davis (83-76-81–240) tied for 42nd and sophomore Michele Miller (85-81-82–248) tied for 63rd place.

Michigan State (299-302-294–895) won the team competition, while South Florida’s Angie Connell (68-76-73–217) won the individual competition.
