Miami Takes on Nation's Elite

CORAL GABLES, FL – The University of Miami men’s and women’s diving teams travel to the Orlando, FL to take on the nation’s top competition in the All-Star Diving Invitational.
For the men, senior All-American Tyce Routson (Provo, UT) and freshman Kyle Prandi (Strongsville, OH) will be competing. Routson will be participating in both the 1-meter and the 10-meter platform, while Prandi will only compete in the 10-meter platform.
For the women, junior All-American and 1999 NCAA Diver of the Year Jenny Keim (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) and sophomore Emily Spychala (Odessa, FL) will be diving. Keim will be participating in the 10-meter platform, while Spychala will compete in the 3-meter.
The last time the Hurricanes competed in a diving-only event they dominated the Georgia Diving Invitational on January 6-9, winning all five of the events in which they competed. Jenny Keim won 10-meter platform, while freshman Katie Beth Bryant (Chatham, IL) won the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Sophomore All-American Stefan Ahrens (Lichtenhagen-Dorf, Germany) dominated for the men with victories in both the 1- and 3-meter events. Also at the invitational, Emily Spychala and Kyle Prandi both took home second-place finishes in the 1-meter events.
The All Star Diving Invitational begins on Friday, February 11 and continues through Sunday, February 13.
