The University of Miami women’s golf team will compete against the top women golfers from some of the best schools in the United States, at the number one golf course in the Caribbean, in the Second Annual Casa de Campo Ladies Intercollegiate Championship Tournament, March 10-11, 2000.

“This is truly a premier event for women collegiate players,” said Head Coach Lela Cannon. “It will be the first time for many players in another country overseas and best of all…they will play on a course ranked 23rd in the world by Golf Magazine, Pete Dye’s famed ‘Teeth of the Dog!”

The “Teeth of the Dog,” has seven holes bordering the Caribbean Sea and is not only beautiful, but incredibly challenging. Players will encounter various Caribbean tradewinds and a masterful Pete Dye design.

“It’s a course that challenges players of every skill level…and at the same time a whole lot of fun to play,” said Casa de Campo Golf Director Giles Gagnon.
