Women's Golf Finishes 10th At Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s golf team finishedin tenth place at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate Women’s GolfTournament at Oak Point Golf Club in Kiawah Island, SC. The Hurricanesposted a three-round total of 926 (297-321-308) to secure the finish at the19-school tournament which concluded Tuesday.
Miami was led by senior Lorna Nelson who finished in a tie for 19thplace individually with a three-round score of 227 (71-77-79).Barrett-Hamilton’s first-round score of 71 ranked as the field’s second-bestscore after round one.
UM freshman Dominque Brooks-Gagnon finished in a tie for 24th placeafter posting a three-round score of 229 (73-80-76-229). Junior AshlieghBarrett-Hamilton (77-83-76-236) and sophomore Lavana Davis (76-82-78-236)tied six other golfers for 46th place, while sophomore Kristin Tavcar(79-82-78-239) finished in a tie for 60th place.
Campbell (297-297-298-892) won the team competition in a playoffover Tulane (297-306-289-892). South Florida’s Kelly Lagedrost(68-74-73-215) won the individual competition.
