Campaign against Drugs begins Monday

Coral Gables, FL – University of Miami athletic teams will celebrate Red Ribbon Day on Monday, October 25 at 1:00 p.m. outside the Hecht Athletic Center on the UM Campus. All 18 varsity sports coaches, players, and support staff are expected to honor the Athletic Department’s stance on alcohol and drug prevention during National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week by tying red ribbons along San Amaro Drive and throughout UM’s athletic facilities.

Students from West Lab Elementary School will join UM athletics and Informed Families in educating the local community on the importance of staying drug-free.

At the Miami-West Virginia game on Oct. 30, the University will recognize the event with public service announcements and banners.
