Women's Crew Competes In The World's Largest Two-Day Rowing Event

BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Miami women’s crew will travel toBoston, Mass., this weekend for the Head of the Charles Regatta, the world’slargest two-day rowing event. UM will bring its women’s varsity eight tocompete against a field of 67 teams, including National Team crews from theUnited States, Canada and Denmark.
The women’s varsity eight is coming off a first place finish at theseason opening Radisson Deauville Head of the Creek Regatta, Oct. 17, onMiami Beach.
The varsity women’s eight race will take place Sunday, Oct. 24.Along with the national team crews, the race will also feature topcollegiate crews from Virginia, Michigan and Brown, plus some of the UnitedStates’ top rowing clubs.
The race was established by the Cambridge Boat Club over 32 yearsago and has grown into the largest two-day rowing event. Races begin at theBoston University Boathouse and finish at the Artesani Park, which isbetween the Northeastern Boathouse and the Eliot Bridge.
