Miami has fallen on hard times, losing three straight.  The Hurricanes look to correct their poor shooting, hopefully a new venue will do the trick.  UM is just 3-6 on their home court.  The best shooting peformance of the season came in their lone away game in Milwaukee.

Maurita Reid has led her team in scoring in all but two games this season.  The senior guard is coming off a productive game against Ole Miss where she scored a game-high 17 points to go along with eight steals.

A Look at Southern Miss

Southern Miss is enjoying a fine early season, as they have an 8-3 record.  The Golden Eagles opened the year on a five-gave winning streak before dropping their next three.  This past week USM defeated Louisiana Tech and Birmingham Southern.

Southern Miss is led by Pauline Love, who is averaging a double-double per game with 18.2 points and 11.2 rebounds per contest.

The Series

This will be the first meeting between these two teams since 1981 where the Golden Eagles took the win, 80-75.  This will be only the second meeting all-time for the teams.
