Tom Pudge enters his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Hurricanes. He brings a wealth of experience in his 20-plus years of coaching and traveling with top-level players.
Pudge grew up playing tennis in Vancouver, Canada, and became an accomplished player. In 1988, he moved to the prestigious Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy where he trained alongside some of the games’ great players.
Following his playing career, he dedicated himself to coaching full time in 1991.
Pudge moved to Miami and worked at the Montana Tennis Club, teaching and traveling with top 100 ATP players Chris Garner, Francisco Montana and Pablo Montana.
He moved on to the Head Pro position at Miami’s Courts of the Falls Tennis Club where he continued working with ATP, WTA and collegiate players.
In addition to assisting the Hurricanes, Pudge also teaches at the JCC Tennis Facility in South Miami.
