
Mark Armour II is in his first season with the Miami men’s basketball program after spending the last four seasons as the head athletic trainer for Wake Forest men’s basketball.
Prior to joining the Deacs, he worked in the NFL and NBA with both the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans. His work with the Saints earned him a Super Bowl ring in 2009. While he was with the Pelicans, Armour worked with two former Deacs, All-Star Chris Paul and Al-Farouq Aminu.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training in 2007 from Southeastern Louisiana and his master’s degree in Kinesiology from Lamar in 2009.
Armour, a New Orleans native, and his wife, Tammy, have two sons, Elijah and Brian. Elijah is currently a volleyball student-athlete at Catawba studying computer science and Brian is enrolled at North Carolina A&T where he is studying Business.
