Davis ties for 27th at Casa de Campo

La Romana, Dominican Republic – University of Miami sophomore Lavana Davis finished tied for 27th at the Casa de Campo Invitational in the Dominican Republic. Davis shot an overall score of 243 (80-81-82) to clinch the tie.
Miami was also led by the fine play of senior Lorna Nelson (83-81-81-245), junior Ashleigh Barrett-Hamilton (82-84-83-249) and sophomore Kristin Tavcar (82-85-83-250). Freshman Dominique Gagnon withdrew during the final round.
In the overall meet, Duke University won with a 918, while Miami finished in eleventh with a 986. Auburn golfer Danielle Downey won the individual championship with a 222.
The Hurricanes return to action on March 20-21, when they play the River Wilderness Invitational in Parrish, FL.
