Miami To Host Oklahoma State In NIT

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami Men’s Basketball Team received an invitation to the 40-team National Invitation Tournament. The third-seeded Hurricanes (16-15, 7-9 ACC) will face No. 6 seed Oklahoma State (17-15, 6-10 Big 12) in the first round on Wednesday, March 15 at 9:00 p.m. (ET) at BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Fla.

This will mark the first time the Hurricanes have hosted a postseason tournament game, and will also be the first meeting between Miami and Oklahoma State on the hardwood.

Miami is making its eighth trip to the NIT and its 13th post-season appearance overall. The Hurricanes are making their second consecutive post-season appearance under head coach Frank Haith, and has now advanced to post-season play in nine of the last 12 seasons (NCAA-1998, 99, 00, 03; NIT-1995, 97, 01, 05, 06).
