Women's Basketball Hosts Georgetown

CORAL GABLES, Fla.– The Miami women’s basketball team will host Georgetown in its last regular season game Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center on the UM campus.
The Hurricanes enter the contest 15-11 overall and 7-8 in the BIG EAST, while the Hoyas are 15-11 overall and 6-9 in the conference.
Miami is looking to secure the No. 7 seed in the BIG EAST, while Georgetown is guaranteed the No. 9 spot in the tournament.
The tournament will begin Saturday March 8 on the Rutgers campus in Piscataway, NJ.
Miami leads the all-time series 13-8 and has won the last four in a row over the Hoyas.
Miami opened BIG EAST play with a 60-57 win over Georgetown in Washington, D.C. earlier this season.
Two Miami seniors will be honored prior to the contest Meghan Saake (Wellington, Fla.) and Alicia Hartlaub (Schaefferstown, Pa.).
Tamara James continues to lead Miami and the conference with 21.7 points per game.
The game will be broadcast live on WVUM (90.5 FM) or via the internet at hurricanesports.com.
The game will be televised on FOX SportsNet Thursday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m.
