“It was time to get in our uniforms and to get used to what it felt likeon our home court,” said head volleyball coach Nicole Lantagne. “Therewere people here in the stands and we’ve been alone in a gym for so long thatit was good to have some distractions.”

“Being a young team, everyone’s still getting used to each other. We expecta lot of players to contribute. Every team knows there are injuries as you gothrough the season so you have to be prepared to rely on people who may not beyour actual starters.”

Miami’sfirst home match is on Friday, September 7, at 2 p.m. against Long Island at theKnights Sports Complex on the UM campus. The match coincides with the inauguralHurricane Invitational.
