Golf Finishes 14th at Lady Gator Invitational

GAINESVILLE, FL – Junior Ashleigh Barrett-Hamilton and senior Lorna Nelson led the Hurricanes to a 14th-place finish at the Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, FL. The Hurricanes posted a three-round total of 961 (324-315-322) to secure the finish.
Barrett-Hamilton finished with an overall score of 230 (79-73-78 to finish in a tie for 16th-place individually, while Nelson finished with a 236 (83-72-81) to finish in 31st-place. Barrett-Hamilton’s second-round score of 73, ranks as the tird-best round of the tournament, while Nelson’s second-round 72 was the second-best round of the tournament.
UM sophomore Kristin Tavcar finished in a tie for 55th, after posting a 242 (80-81-81) during the three-round tournament. Sophomore Lavana Davis shot a total of 255 (84-89-82) to finish in 78th-place, while freshman Dominique Gagnon withdrew after the first-round.
The University of Florida won the team tournament (904), while Furman’s Jennifer Perri (218) won the individual tournament.
