Following Sunday’s overtime upset of No. 7/5 Duke, the Miami Hurricanes have received a vote in the Feb. 6 AP Poll. The last time Miami was in the polls was Jan. 11, 2010 when the Canes were ranked No. 23 in the AP Poll and were receiving votes in the USA Today/ESPN Poll.

The Hurricanes are on their first four-game ACC winning streak since 2008 and have won three consecutive ACC road games for the first time ever, after starting 0-2 in the league in 2011-12.
It’s also the first time Miami has won three ACC road games in a season.
At 5-3 in the league, the Canes are looking to match their most wins ever midway through the ACC schedule. They started 6-2 in the ACC in 2005-06 before losing six of their final seven in the league.
This is the first time UM is more than a game over .500 in the ACC this late in the season since 2006.
With the win at Duke, Miami earned its fifth victory in six tries and a landmark win for the program in Coach Larranaga’s first season.
Miami is seeking to win five straight conference games for the first time in ACC play and to win six of seven league games for the first time since Feb. 9-23, 2008.
