Coral Gables, Fla. (www. hurricanesports.com) – – Last season, first-year head coach Frank Haith and the University of Miami men’s basketball team was one college basketball’s biggest surprises. This season the Hurricanes have high expectations and will enter their second year in the ACC with a new look on the road.

“I am extremely pleased with the look of the black uniforms,” said Haith. “Our players can’t wait to wear them, and I think our fans will really like the way they look. Nike did a great job with the design.”

Traditionally the University of Miami has worn green uniforms for road games, but at the BCA Classic, November 13-15, in Seattle, Wash., the Hurricanes will unveil their new black uniforms.

Nike Team Sports, which outfits the Hurricanes with basketball attire, incorporated the new black uniform this season to go with the familiar home white and road green.

The black uniforms have the same modern aesthetic that Nike Team Sports introduced in October 2000 including sleek design lines that run from the jersey all the way through the short, accented by contrast piping.

Additionally, the graphic package is updated to include “Miami” on the front of the jersey and the two-tone “U” graphic on short panels.
