John Cantalupo is currently serving as the Associate Athletic Director of Business Operations and is an alumnus of The U where he received a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master’s degree in sport administration.
Cantalupo began his career with the Miami Marlins in 2013 in the finance/accounting department. After five years with the Marlins, which included oversight of World Baseball Classics, the 2017 All-Star Game, and the sale of the team, Cantalupo joined the Florida Panthers as Manager of Finance/Accounting, helping to establish the new inhouse concession company, the new practice facility, and navigate the COVID season.
Cantalupo came back to UM in 2022 as the Senior Finance Manager of the Financial Planning and Analysis office where he worked on the monthly financial package and presentation as well as reviewed the monthly budget information with each unit of the university.
John lives in Miami with his wife Rebecca, also a Miami alum.
