As a Sophomore ’89- ’90 – Hurricane point-guard who started in all 30 games which she participated … suffered a cut underneath her right eye which required four stiches and missed the regular-season finale vs. South Florida … ranked first on the team in assists (137, 4.56 per game), second in scoring (13.7), second in free throw percentage (.765), third in minuets played (960), tied for fourth in steals (49) … averaging 13.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per tilt … had her best overall performance of the year vs. James Madison (72-53) in second round action of the Sun and Fun Classic scoring 20 points including 8 of 9 from the free throw line and grabbing five rebounds … also scored 20 markers in Miami’s 76-58 win at Massachusetts … in three games at the National Women’s Invitational Tournament, Hebert scored 47 points (15.6 ppg.), had 15 assists and grabbed nine rebounds … has scored in double figures in 28 of 30 games including her last eight strait (49 of 59 career contests) … set a new career-high with six steals vs. District of Columbia (79-47) … dished out four assists in Miami’s 85-68 loss vs. Washington in the championship game of the Burger King Classic to move into fifth place on UM’s career assist chart ahead of Gwen Harris (187, 1981-84); Hebert has 284 career assists.
As a Freshman – Started all 29 games … ranked first on the ream in minuets played (1015) and assists (147, 5.1 per game), second in scoring (13.8), third in free throw percentage (.654), third in blocked shots (10), and fourth in steals (44) … dished out a career-high 11 assists in Miami’s 94-69 victory over Central Florida on 2-11-89 … recorded nine or more assists four times: Florida State-N (10), Oklahoma (9) and Mercer (9) … with three assists against Oklahoma State in Miami’s first-ever NCAA appearance, Hebert moved into 4th place (147) on the UM charts for Most Assists in a Season … had her besst outing 26 points and 10 assists leading Miami over Florida State in the championship game of the Lady Sunshine Tournament … scored 25 markers, grabbed nine rebounds and handed out five assists against Northwestern State (La.) (92-89) … named to the All-Tournament team of the Lady Sunshine Tournament and the Lady Cougar Classic … registered double-figure scoring totals in 21 of 29 games and hit for 20 or more points five times … topped the Hurricanes in scoring six times: Florida State-N (26), Northwestern State (La.) (25), at Bethune Cookman (23), at Detroit (23), vs, Florida A&M (20) and at Auburn (16) … had her best shooting night (8 of 10) vs. Florida A&M … blocked three shots vs. Barry University … scored her first collegiate basket at 18:46 of the first half vs. Southwest Missouri State.
High School – Monroe Catholic High School … scored over 2,300 points in four seasons … lead Monroe Catholic (school population: 140) back-to-back state championships her junior and senior years … Monroe Catholic complied a 97-12 (.889) during Hebert’s four years … averaged 20 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds per clip her senior campaign … received the state of Alaska’s Most Valuable Player award an unprecedented four times … a multi-sport athlete, who as a junior captured the state title in the shot put, discus and 300 hurdles and aided in Monroe Catholics’ state volleyball championship.
