2017 Indoor:  Finished fourth in the men’s 200m with a time of 21.64 seconds at the VT Invitational… Competed in the 60m at the McCravy Memorial Invitational… Member of the men’s 4x400m relay team that finished eighth at the McCravy Memorial Invitational with a time of 3:12.16 that ranks third in UM history… Member of the men’s 4x400m relay team at the Meyo Invitational that won section 2 and placed fourth overall with a time of 3:12.47… Finished ninth in the men’s 200m at the Tiger Paw Invitational with a personal-best time of 21.45 seconds that improves his second-ranked time in school history… Member of the men’s 4x400m relay team that placed seventh at the Tiger Paw Invitational with a season-best time of 3:12.10 that ranks third in UM history.

2016 Indoor: Finished 18th in the 200m at the McCravy Memorial Meet with a time of 22.29 seconds … Finished 10th in the men’s 200m dash with a season-best time of 21.98 seconds at the Armory Track Invitational

2015 Outdoor: Posted a time of 10.73 seconds in the 100m at the FSU Relays

2015 Indoor: Won the men’s 60m dash at the Nittany Lion Challenge with a time of 6.89 seconds … Member of 4x400m relay that posted a time of 3:23.05 at the Nittany Lion Challenge … Competed in the 60m at the McCravy Memorial Meet … Placed second in the men’s open 200m at the VT Elite Meet with a personal-best time of 21.48 seconds that ranks second in UM history … Finished sixth in the men’s 60m final at the VT Elite Meet with a personal-best time of 6.88 seconds … Competed in the 60m and 200m at the Tyson Invitational … Finished seventh in the 200m final at the ACC Indoor Championships, posting a time of 21.66 seconds 

High School: Jones is the first Gatorade Alabama Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year to be chosen from Thompson High School. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound senior won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.76 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 21.17 at the Class 6A state championship meet this spring. Jones also won the 100 at the Sugar Bowl Classic and the Mobile Challenge of Champions, and his season-best clocking of 10.35 ranked as the nation’s No. 7 performance among prep competitors in 2014 at the time of his selection.

Beyond his excellence on the track, Jones has maintained a 3.29 GPA in the classroom. A devoted member of his church community, Jones has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics and youth track programs.
