Made an early commitment to UM at beginning of 1985 spring signing period…first Miami native to be awarded a basketball scholarship at Miami since program was reinstated.
High School: Two year letterman and leading scorer at Northwestern Hish School…averaged 16.7 points per game while leading team to a 2-5 record during final prep season…also contributed 6.2 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game as a senior…selected as team’s MVP last year…coached in high school by Fred Jones…attended same high school as current University of Miami football stars Melvin Bratton, Tolbert Bain and Brett Perriman.
