Played his senior season at Houston Wheatley due to Hurricane Katrina…averaged 19 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, three steals and four blocks per game in leading Wheatley to a 31-4 record…named second-team All-State, Distict Co-MVP, team MVP and team captain…as a junior at L.W. Higgins in New Orleans he averaged 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks per game, and was named All-District, team MVP and team captain…also competed in track at Higgins where he holds the school high jump record (6-08.00)…coached in basketball by Marshall Jackson.

Nicknamed “LG” and “Slasher”…would like to become a TV broadcaster once his basketball career is over…enjoys watching movies in his free time…lists Love and Basketball as his favorite movie…says he chose Miami because “I felt at home the minute I got here.”
