His high school coach at Ben Franklins in Rochester was Mauro Panaggio. E first heard of Miami talking to sports writers when he was a bat boy for the Rochester Red Wings of the International Baseball League. He was All-City in basketball in high school but has found his lack of stature and insurmountable obstacle in college, though he has his moments of glory in sport appearances. His top performance for the Hurricanes came in his sophomore year when he accounted for 14 points against Tampa.
