CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Senior
forward Kym Hope (Hollywood McArthur)
pulled down 18 rebounds and scored 12 points to lead the University
of
Miami women’s basketball team to a 91-55 victory over Team Miami in
an
exhibition game at the Knight Sports Complex.

EAST first team selection, registered
three assists and two blocked shots to go along with her double-double.
Senior forward Jennifer Jordan (Miami Norland) also recorded a
double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Senior guards Beth Barnhart
and Cassaundra Wimes (Miami Central)
each scored in double figures as well. Barnhart scored 11 points,
while
Wimes came off the bench to score 13.

The Hurricanes held Team
Miami to a 23.5 shooting percentage
from the field. Team Miami featured WNBA players Traci Reid (14
points,
16 rebounds) and Octavia Blue (12 points, five rebounds). Blue,
a
former University of Miami standout, plays for the Los Angeles Sparks,
while Reid is a member of the Charlotte Sting.

The ‘Canes begin regular
season action on November 18 at Florida
International. UM’s home opener is December 1 vs. Coppin State.
