2011-12 (Junior, Indiana): Named Big Ten Diver of the Year … Picked up trio of All-America honors at 2012 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Wash. … Finished sixth on 3-meter and eighth on platform to earn All-America designation … Was 13th on 1-meter for honorable mention All-America honors … Posted career-best score of 420.90 on the 1-meter, setting program record in event … Also set new career marks for 3-meter (413.85) and platform (420.25).

2010-11 (Sophomore, Indiana): Was runner-up on the 1-meter springboard at the Big Ten Championships with a career-best score of 375.60 … Finished 19th on the 3-meter springboard (300.05) and 13th on the platform (296.15) … second-team All-Big Ten … third in the 1-meter competition in a dual meet win over Michigan (352.28) … took fourth on the 1-meter at a double dual with Texas and Michigan … his score of 336.00 was good for second on the 1-meter springboard vs. Northwestern … scored a season best 382.85 points to finish fourth on the 3-meter springboard vs. Texas and Michigan … second on the 3-meter vs. Northwestern and third vs. Kentucky … took third on the platform vs. Michigan with a season-best tally of 352.28.

2009-10 (Freshman, Indiana): Placed 12th on the 1-meter (304.80), 15th on the 3-meter (327.55) and seventh on the platform (367.70-season best) at the Big Ten Championships … scored a season-best 364.45 points on the 1-meter to finish third at the Hoosierland Open … third on the 1-meter at Texas (318.90) … took fourth in the same event at Ohio State (304.80) … second on the 1-meter at Louisville (304.80) … season-high 367.10 points on the 3-meter at the Hoosierland Open, finishing third … second on the 3-meter at Louisville (317.62) and at Kentucky (308.55) … took fifth on the 3-meter at Texas (300.68) and seventh at Purdue (300.60) … won the platform with a score of 346.60 at the Hoosierland Open … took third on the platform at Michigan (336.15) … ninth on the 1-meter at the 2010 AT&T USA Diving Summer National Championships with a score of 320.40 … teamed with fellow Hoosier Mick Dell’Orco in the synchronized platform competition where they finished third with a score of 316.65 … in the men’s synchronized three-meter final, Nees and Darian Schmidt finished fourth with a score of 318.42.
