Troy Taylor is entering into his second year within the UM Athletics Department serving as Senior Accountant in Ticket Operations. At UM, Taylor’s duties include being responsible for accounting functions related to tickets, donations and audits. He also works to ensure customer service through all interactions with donors and season ticket holders.
While being responsible for the day-to-day operations within the Hurricanes Ticket Office, troy Taylor also handles tickets and donations related to maintenance of the Ticketmaster software. He also took one of the lead roles in the conversation from Paciolan to Ticketmaster.
A 2003 graduate of the University of Texas, Taylor earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. He would go on to earn his MBA in 2008 from Texas State University.
Prior to arriving at UM, Taylor worked at Texas State from January 2005 until February 2009. While at TSU, he served as an Assistant Athletics Business Manager. In that capacity, he oversaw purchasing, travel, receivable collection, audits and payable processing for the Department of Athletics. He also served as a central team contact for various entities inside and outside of the Department of Athletics related closely to the department’s operations.
Additionally at TSU, Taylor acted as a key contributor to install a travel advance credit card program that eased the travel constraints of all employees within the Department of Athletics. He also offered guidance through a shift in fundraising strategy for the development staff and sports programs. Taylor worked closely with various areas within the Department of Athletics, outside of his daily duties, ensuring event success such as Game Operations, Video Board Operations and Ticket Operations.
