Kaitlin Nazario

AS A SOPHOMORE (2007): Finished second in the javelin throw at the Hurricane Invitational (141-01.25), the Florida Relays (138-10.25), and the Springtime Invitational (130-06).

AS A FRESHMAN (2006): Earned All-ACC honors in the javelin finishing third (43.63m) at the ACC Outdoor Championships…mark at the ACC Championships established a new UM record…won the javelin at the Pepsi Invitational (41.52m)…placed 23rd at the NCAA East Regional with a mark of 38.39 meters.

HIGH SCHOOL: School record holder in the javelin (147’2) and the discus (121’11)…state champion in the javelin freshman, sophomore and junior years…named to the first team All-County and first team All-Area four straight years and first team All-State freshman and sophomore years…USATF champion in the Javelin junior year…also played basketball.

PERSONAL: Majoring in elementary education…enjoys playing basketball in her spare time.
