2016 ACC MEN’S INDOOR, FIRST TEAM (LONG JUMP)
2016 Indoor: Finished second in the men’s long jump at the Armory Track Invitational with a mark of 7.36m. Jacob, who had not competed since the 2013 outdoor season, tied his personal-best mark that ranks fifth in UM history … Finished 10th in the men’s long jump at the Tyson Invitational with a mark of 7.13m … Earned a bronze medal in the long jump at the ACC Indoor Championships with a personal-best mark of 7.56m that ranks third in UM history
2013 Outdoor: Posted season-best mark of 7.24m in long jump at ACC Outdoor Championships … Also competed at Georgia Tech Invitational, Penn Relays and Miami Invitational.
2013 Indoor: Set personal-best in 60m at New Mexico Classic with time of 7.09 seconds … Posted season-best in high jump at VT Elite Meet … Set season-best in long jump, clearing 7.25m at ACC Championships.
2012 Outdoor: Participated in six different competitions, competing in two different events … Set school season best with distance of 23’9″/7.24m in long jump at Jim Click Shoot Out … Finished first at Wolfpack Last Chance in long jump with distance of 23’2.50″/7.07m … Set school season-best with a distance of 6’9.75″/2.08m in high jump at ACC Championships,
2012 Indoor: Earned All-ACC accolades after placing third in long jump with season-best mark of 24’1.75″/7.36m…Set the school record in the high jump with mark of 6’9.75″/2.08m at Birmingham Invitational…In lone attempt in 60 meters, posted 7.24 finish.
High School: All-American in high jump and long jump… First-team All-New England in long jump… Holds state record in long jump… Team won Rhode Island state title in senior year… Team won Rhode Island state title in soccer in junior year.
Personal: Son of Ephraim and Elizabeth Jacob… Also played football and soccer in high school… Enjoys doing community service.
