Junior Season (2010-11)
Finished the season 25-9 overall, 19-6 in dual match play and 8-3 against ACC opponents during the regular season … Went 6-2 at No. 3 singles, 6-2 at No. 4 and 7-2 at No. 5 … Won nine of her last 11 singles matches, including wins at No. 3 over ranked opponents from Michigan and Florida in the NCAA Championships … Went 13-12 in doubles play while teamed with Melissa Bolivar in the No. 2 position … Recorded an overall doubles record of 20-14 on the year, including a 7-2 record with Kayla Rizzolo from the fall … Finished the year second on the team in singles wins (25), trailing only Bianca Eichkorn (33) … Went 3-5 against ranked opponents in singles … In the month of March, had wins at No. 5 over opponents from No. 4 Michigan, No. 11 Clemson, No. 6 North Carolina and TCU … Picked up her first win at No. 3 with a 6-4, 6-4 win over NC State’s Joelle Kissell on April 3 … Won her spring opener over FAU in the No. 4 position before beating opponents from No. 54 FIU and No. 21 Arizona State in the No. 5 position during the ITA Kick-Off Weekend … Her 6-0, 3-6, 6-1 win over ASU’s 90th-ranked Hannah James gave Miami a match-clinching fourth point to send the ‘Canes to the ITA National Indoors … Finished the fall season 6-3 in singles play and 7-2 in doubles alongside teammate Kayla Rizzolo … Ranked No. 83 in singles play during the fall season … Held a ranking of No. 17 nationally in doubles with Danielle Mills entering the fall, but the tandem did not play a match together … Alongside Rizzolo, won her only two doubles matches of the season-opening Miami Fall Invitational, downing UCF’s Genevieve Lorbergs and Courtney Griffith, 8-5, and Michigan’s Brooke Bolender and Denise Muresan, 8-6 … Wrapped up the fall season winning the Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic doubles title with Rizzolo, cruising to three-straight 8-1 wins capped off by a victory over Oklahoma State’s Nataliya Shatkovskaya and Kanyapat Narattana in the championship match … Went 2-1 at the Southeast Regional Championship with Rizzolo, beating teams from Georgia Tech and Florida A&M before a Round of 16 loss to Florida’s Sofie Owen and Allie Will .. Won all three of her singles matches at the Miami Fall Invitational, beating Josephine Haraldson of UCF (6-1, 6-1), Kate Parker of USF (6-1, 6-1) and Michelle Sulahian of Michigan (6-3, 6-3) … Went 1-1 at the Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic, losing to Notre Dame’s Christine McGaffigan, 6-3, 6-3, and beating teammate Danielle Mills, 6-0, 6-3.

Sophomore Season (2009-10)
Earned her first All-America honor after reaching the NCAA doubles quarterfinals alongside former teammate Laura Vallverdu … Went 28-5 in singles play and 34-6 in doubles play, playing primarily with Vallverdu in the No. 1 position … Played mostly at the No. 5 singles position, going 17-2 there … Also went 5-1 at No. 4 … Turned in an impressive mark of 22-3 in singles dual matches, including a perfect 11-0 record against ACC opposition during the regular season… Ranked as high as No. 87 in singles play and No. 3 in doubles … After dropping her first match of the spring season, won 22 of her next 23 singles matches, including a streak of 15 straight from Feb. 14 to April 18 … Went 2-1 in the NCAA Tournament, beating Boston’s Monika Mical, 6-0, 6-0, and No. 26 USF’s Jessica Zok, 6-0, 6-2, to help to `Canes to a regional title … Went 12-5 against ranked doubles opponents while teamed with Vallverdu … Paired up to defeat Cal’s ninth-ranked tandem of Mari Andersson and Jana Juricova from Cal twice, including a 7-5, 6-2 victory in the NCAA Round of 16 … Also during NCAA tournament play, beat USF’s 16th-ranked team of Irene Rehberger and Melissa Koning, Northwestern’s 59th-ranked team of Linda Abu Mushrefova and Lauren Lui and Denver’s 54th-ranked pair of Sophia Bergner and Ute Schnoy … Beat Georgia Tech’s 21st-ranked team of Irina Falconi and Sasha Krupina, 8-4, in the ACC tournament … Posted a 4-1 record in singles play during the fall campaign … Ended the fall season with a 9-1 record in doubles competition, all alongside teammate Laura Vallverdu … Won her first four singles matches, including a three-set decision (6-3, 2-6, 6-2) against No. 41 Yvette Hyndman of Georgia in second day action at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational … Victory marked her first against a nationally ranked opponent … Earned the flight title at the GTFI with her third win, a 6-3, 7-5 triumph over Georgia Tech’s Sasha Krupina … Claimed a win in her opening round match of the Wilson/ITA Southeast Region Championships, grabbing a 6-2, 6-1 decision over FIU’s Maria Vallasciani … Lost her only singles match of the fall on the strength of a 4-6, 2-6 setback at the hands of Florida State’s Amy Sargeant at the FSU Invitational … Teamed with Vallverdu for nine consecutive wins to open the fall in doubles play … The duo entered the fall ranked No. 36 nationally in the preseason ITA doubles poll … Defeated the 11th-ranked pair of Amanda McDowell and Irina Falconi of Georgia Tech in the season-opener at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational, using a 9-7 advantage in the match … Won the main draw doubles competition at the Wilson/ITA Southeast Region Championships … Defeated FIU’s 25th-ranked duo of Liset Brito and Priscilla Castillo, 8-5, in the quarterfinals … Knocked off Florida’s Lauren Embree and Allie Will in the semifinals, 8-4 … Took down USF’s duo of Melissa Koning and Irene Rehberger in the finals, 8-3 … Advanced to the semifinals of the ITA National Indoor Championships … Outlasted California’s second-ranked, and defending national doubles champs, Mari Andersson and Jana Juricova in the opening round, 9-7 … Advanced to the semis with their 8-2 victory over Fresno Pacific’s Vanessa Heroux and Katia Sabate in the quarterfinals … Fell in her lone doubles match of the fall in the semis alongside Vallverdu on a tough three-setter (6-2, 3-6, 4-6) against Tennessee’s seventh-ranked duo of Natalie Pluskota and Caitlin Whoriskey.

Freshman Season (2008-09)
Registered a 22-13 record on the year, including a 17-6 mark for the spring season … Posted an 8-3 record in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) … Recorded a 2-0 record at the No. 4 singles spot, while grabbing a 15-5 mark at her normal No. 5 position … Posted a 14-21 record in doubles play for the year … Teamed with partner Claudia Wasilewski for a 6-11 record on the year in double splay, including a 6-9 mark at the No. 3 position … Went 2-0 with Michaela Kissell, including a 1-0 record in her only appearance at the No. 2 flight … After dropping two of her first three matches to start the spring, Mejia bounced back for six consecutive match victories in which she earned a decision … Took a 6-2, 6-2 win over #5 Stanford’s Veronica Li in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Madison, Wis. … Collected a win at home against Denise Muresan of #18 Michigan in straight sets, 6-0, 7-5 … Defeated #8 Georgia Tech’s Sasha Krupina in three sets, 6-7, 6-2, 6-4 … Turned back Nanar Airapetian of #21 Arkansas with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph in Miami’s win at home … Collected another home victory on the strength of a 6-1, 7-5 triumph over Jocelyn Ffriend of #15 North Carolina … Began an impressive five-match winning streak at #22 Virginia downing Claire Bartlett in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3 … Recorded a 6-1, 6-1 win over Ryann Cutillo of Wake Forest in the opening round of the ACC Championships … Earned a 7-5, 6-0 win against #29 FIU’s Priscilla Castillo during the NCAA Championships [Coral Gables Regional], 7-5, 6-0 … Continued her hot play late in the season with a 6-1, 6-4 straight-set defeat of #11 UCLA’s Ashley Joelson in the Round of 16 at the NCAA Championships in College Station, Texas … Teamed with Claudia Wasilewski for an 8-6 win in doubles play over #29 FIU’s Priscilla Castillo and Maria Spenceley during the NCAA Championships [Coral Gables Regional], 8-6 … Also teamed with Wasilewski for an 8-3 win at the No. 3 doubles spot against #15 North Carolina’s team of Meg Fanjoy and Laura Reichert … Went 5-7 in the fall season for singles play, as well as collecting an even 5-5 mark for doubles … Earned a 6-2, 1-0, ret. Win in her collegiate debut against Lauren Sabacinski (William & Mary) in the 16th Annual William & Mary Invitational … Lost a tough three-set affair (6-1, 6-7, 4-10) in the consolation round to Richmond’s Erin Clark … Teamed with Jenna Osborne for an 8-1 win over Harvard’s Holly Cao and Laura Peterzan in doubles action … Collected a win in the first round of the Riviera/ITA All-American qualifying against San Diego’s Maja Sujica, 6-3, 6-2 … Defeated Clemson’s team of Estefania Balda and Laurianne Henry, 9-7, with teammate Bianca Eichkorn in the doubles qualifying bracket … Fell in the quarterfinals to USC’s team of Alison Ramos and Maria Sanchez, 3-8 … Picked up a win over UNC’s Sophie Grabinski (6-0, 7-6) in the first round of the Palm Desert Classic in California … Defeated UCF’s Andrea Yacaman, 6-4, 6-7, 6-4, in her first match of the UM Women’s Tennis Fall Invitational … Also defeated Maria Dolores Pazo of cross-town rival FIU, 6-3, 6-1 in a straight-set contest.

Participated in the Copa Colsanitas Tournament in Bogota, Colombia where she finished in the quarterfinals in 2008 … Took part in a tournament in her hometown of Cali, advancing to the round of 16 … Took part in the Girls 18-under Nicolas Machivello Copa Graiman Tournament in Guayaquil in 2007 … Advanced to the Round of 16 in that event … Qualified for the Copa Colsanitas in 2007 as well … Also saw action in several out-of-country tournaments such as Mexico City, Monterrey, Mazatlan and Chihuahua … Finished in the quarterfinals of a tournament in Caracas in 2006.
