AS A SOPHOMORE (2005): Did not compete during the 2005 season.

AS A FRESHMAN (2004): Set a season-best mark of 1.60m in the high jump at the Gator Invitational…finished thirteenth in the heptathlon at the BIG EAST Championships (4,091 points) and fourth at the Hurricane Invitational (4,010).

HIGH SCHOOL: 2003 Class 4A Region 4 champion in the high jump… team captain junior and senior year… team MVP as a sophomore, junior, and senior… Varela Female Hall of Fame member, and track scholar-athlete… holds school records in 100-meter hurdles (15.85), 300-meter hurdles (47.57), high jump (5-06), and triple jump (35-11.00)… Miami Herald First-Team All-Dade selection as a senior… won five District 15 titles as a senior… won District titles in the high jump, 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles as a junior… qualifier for 2003 Junior Olympics in triple jump (36-10.75)… also competed in volleyball and cross country… member of National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Born June 27,1985… daughter of Harold and Jeanne Estimé… has one sister, Jennifer (14)… Biology major… wants to be a pediatrician… voted most athletic senior in high school… hobbies include watching movies, reading novels, playing sports, and spending time with friends.
