Sophomore Season (2010-11)
Went 11-14 overall in singles play … In dual match play, went 3-9 at No. 3 and 4-4 at No. 5 … Posted a 14-11 mark in doubles … In dual match play, was 11-6 with Brittany Dubins, 1-2 with Kayla Rizzolo and 0-1 with Bistra Otashliyska, all the No. 3 spot … Recorded singles wins over top-ranked Florida’s Sofie Oyen (6-1, 7-6), FIU’s Lisa Johnson (2-6, 6-1, 6-1) and FAU’s Natasha Basma (6-2, 6-1) during the regular season … Earned match-clinching wins in both of Miami’s NCAA Coral Gables Regional wins, recording straight sets wins over opponents from FIU and Texas … Teamed with Dubins to clinch the doubles point against No. 17 Virginia on March 26, taking down the 47th-ranked tandem of Fuccillo and Teltumbde, 8-4 … Earned wins with Dubins at No. 3 in both of Miami’s NCAA Coral Gables Regional wins … Went 4-1 during the fall season, with her lone loss coming against teammate Gabriela Mejia at the Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic in Bradenton … Won both of her singles matches in the season-opening Miami Fall Invitational, beating USF’s Loreta Alonso Martinez, 6-3, 6-3, and Michigan’s Mimi Nguyen, 6-3, 6-0 … Was victorious in her first two matches at the Lakewood Ranch Classic, beating Baylor’s Aya Bara, 6-0, 6-3, and FGCU’s Iris Rendon, 6-1, 6-1 … Went 2-2 in doubles play alongside freshman Bistra Otashlyska … Lost to Michigan’s Mimi Nguyen and Sam Crister, 9-7, at the Miami Fall Invitational before beating UCF’s Jenna Doerfler and Josephine Haraldson, 8-3 … Went 1-1 in doubles with Otashlyska at the Lakewood Ranch Classic, downing Oklahoma State’s Sarah Meghoufel and Leyla Simmons, 8-4, before falling to Notre Dame’s Christine McGaffian and Julie Sabacinski, 9-8.
Freshman Season (2009-10)
Went 20-15 in singles and 17-12 in doubles in her first season in Coral Gables …. Played primarily at the No. 4 singles position (10-9 in dual matches) but also played some at No. 5 (5-0) … Spent most of the season playing with Claudia Wasilewski in doubles, going 9-11 overall and 6-8 in the No. 3 doubles spot with her former teammate … Went 5-0 in the No. 2 doubles spot while teamed with Gabriela Mejia … Went 7-4 in singles play against ACC opponents during the regular season … Won her first four dual matches of the spring, beating opponents from FAU, Boston, Mississippi State and Baylor … Biggest win of the spring came against 90th-ranked Nelly Ciolkowski of No. 12 Clemson, 6-1, 6-4 … Won 10 of 12 matches from Feb. 27 to April 9 … Swept her first match in NCAA play, beating Boston’s Petra Santini, 6-0, 6-0, in the opening round of the Coral Gables Regional … Also beat Santini and her teammate Inayat Khosla, 8-1, in the No. 3 doubles slot while teamed with Wasilewski … Went 6-3 in doubles against ACC opponents in the regular season, including a 3-0 mark while paired with Mejia … Finished her first collegiate fall season sporting an even 4-4 record in singles play … Tallied a 4-1 mark in doubles play alongside Wasilewski and Anna Bartenstein … Grabbed her first win of the fall on the strength of a 6-1, 6-4 decision over Princeton’s Sarah Hoffman in the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational … Followed that victory with an opening-round win at the Wilson/ITA Southeast Region Championships in Atlanta … Registered a three-set victory (7-5, 2-6, 6-4) over Stetson’s Unnati Purushotham … Fell in the Round of 32 against Florida State’s 24th-ranked Noemie Scharle in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-7 … Went 2-1 at the FSU Invitational, including an opening day victory (6-2, 6-3) over Mississippi State’s Valeriya Makarycheva … Posted her final singles win of the fall against Jennifer Betts of Furman, 6-0, 6-2, in the closing day of the FSU Invitational … Won her first four doubles matches of the fall … Started the fall as a team with fellow newcomer Anna Bartenstein, claiming back-to-back wins and the flight title in doubles play at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational … Claimed an 8-3 decision over Georgia Tech’s team of Lynn Blau and Hillary Davis in the opening round … Advanced to the semifinals of the main draw [Gold Bracket] of doubles play alongside Wasilewski at the FSU Invitational … Recorded an 8-3 win over Memphis’ duo of Amanda Brown and Kelly Gray … Followed that with another 8-3 win, this time against Furman’s team of Monica Arguello and Jennifer Betts in the semifinals of the Gold Bracket … Fell in the finals to USF’s duo of Ecaterina Vasenina and Allyn Mueller, 8-6.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., but now resides in Bradenton, Fla. … Prepped at The Pendleton School, while playing tennis for IMG Academy … Earned a career-high ITF (International Tennis Federation) world rank of 195 … Participated in three-of-four Grand Slams, including the Australian Jr. Open, Wimbledon Jr. Open and 2009 U.S. Jr. Open … Won the 2008 ITF El Salvador Open in singles play … Teamed with Francesca Segarelli to claim the 2007 Jamaica Jr. Open, also finishing as a finalist in singles play … Teamed with Segarelli for doubles championship match appearances at the 2006 Tampico (Mexico) Open and the Copa Carari Open (Costa Rica) … Achieved a career-high WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) world rank of 582 competing as an amateur … Played in the 2008 Rogers Cup (Canadian Open) in Montreal … Prepped at IMG alongside 2009 NCAA Women’s Tennis Singles Champion Mallory Cecil … Finished as a quarterfinalist in ITF Pro Circuit events as an amateur in Waterloo, Ontario (Canada) and Bogotá, Colombia in 2008.
