2019 Outdoor: Recorded a second-place finish in the 400m dash, boasting a time of 52.96 seconds at the Power 5 Trailblazer Challenge and helped the Canes win the 4×400 relay with a time of 3:32.88… Helped the Canes to a third-place finish in the 4×200 relay with a time of 1:33.34 at the Florida Relays and was part of Miami’s fifth-place finish in the 4x400m relay that recorded a time of 3:32.22… Ran a 23.99 in the women’s 200m dash at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational and helped the Canes win the 4×400 relay with a time of 3:33.56.

2019 Indoor: After a season off, Ellis returned to the track posting a time of 38.61 seconds in the 300m at the UAB Blazer Invite… Finished seventh in the 400m dash final with a time of 54.05 at the Texas Tech Classic and was a member of the women’s 4x400m relay team that finished 4th with a combined time of 3:35.73… Finished fifth in the 200m with a time of 24.26 and third in the 400m with a time of 54.39 at the Virginia Tech “Doc Hale” Elite Meet… Was the lone Cane to compete in the women’s 400m dash Invitational and boasted a Top-10 finish with a time of 53.66 at the Tiger Paw Invite and combined to run the then-nation’s ninth fastest 4x400m time of 3:33.99… Earned the gold medal in the 400m, running a time of 52.66 seconds and was part the 4x400m relay that earned gold with a time of 3:32.75, helping the Canes win their fifth indoor title under Coach Deem.

2017 Outdoor: Finished second in the women’s 200m at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational with a personal best time of 23.36 seconds… Member of the women’s 4x100m relay team that finished seventh at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational… Finished 14th overall in the women’s 400m with a time of 53.91 seconds at the Florida Relays… Competed in the women’s 200m and was a member of the women’s 4x400m relay team that placed second and combined for a time of 3:38.31 at the Hurricane Alumni INvitational… Finished fourth in the women’s 400m with a time of 53.46 seconds at the Michael Johnson Invitational… Member of the women’s 4x400m relay team that combined to finished third with a time of 3:33.69 at the Tom Jones Invitational… Finished fourth with a time of 23.40 seconds in the women’s 200m final at the ACC Outdoor Championships… Earned a silver medal in the women’s 400m at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a time of 51.66 seconds that ranks third in UM history…

High School: Ellis was named the 2015 Gatorade Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year in her home state of Illinois. She won three individual Class 3A state championships this spring and led the Blue Devils to a second place finish as a team. Ellis became the first Class 3A runner in a decade to win the sprint triple, capturing the 100 with a time of 11.85 seconds, the 200 in 24.38 and the 400 in 54.19. She took sixth in the 400 at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China in 2014.

The 5-foot-10 senior has maintained a weighted 4.40 GPA in the classroom. She has volunteered locally on behalf of Feed My Starving Children and Kindred Life Ministries, providing assistance for teen-aged mothers.
