A personal-best javelin throw of 27.47m kept Taintor’s solid day going and she finished the day with a season-best 800m time of 2:23.60 to place second in the women’s heptathlon with 4,857 points… Finished seventh in the women’s long jump with a personal-best mark of 5.88m at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational…

High School: Taintor was the 2013 outdoor state champion in both the long jump and 300m hurdles. Described by her high school coach as an athlete that “possesses immense athletic talent and a formidable work ethic,” she first picked up track and field as a freshman in high school and began solely focusing on her running following her sophomore season. Taintor, who competed at the 2012 Indoor New Balance Nationals, has personal bests of 43.36 in the 300m hurdles and 19′ 0.75” in the long jump.
