AS A JUNIOR (2006): Earned All-ACC honors during the indoor season placing second in the pentathlon (3936) at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships…also placed fifth in the long jump (6.11m) and eighth in the triple jump (12.66m) at ACC Indoors…earned All-ACC honors during the outdoor season placing third in the heptathlon with an NCAA provisional mark of 5,259 points…also scored in the long jump at ACC Outdoors placing sixth (6.04m)…finished eighth in the long jump at the NCAA East Regional Championships with a wind-aided mark of 6.29 meters.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2005): Earned All-ACC honors during the indoor season placing third in the pentathlon (3697) at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships…also placed sixth in the long jump (6.08m) and eighth in the triple jump (12.48m)…placed fifth in the heptathlon (4888), fifth in the long jump (5.99m) and seventh in the triple jump (12.34m) at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships…placed fourth in the long jump (6.23m) at the NCAA East Regional.

AS A FRESHMAN (2004): Competed in the long and triple jumps during the indoor season…set a season-best indoor mark in the long jump of 5.92m at the NIKE Last Chance meet…set a season-best indoor mark in the triple jump of 12.23m at the Tyson Invitational…finished fourth in the triple jump at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships (12.16m)…competed in the long jump, triple jump and heptathlon during the outdoor season…posted a ninth place finish in the long jump at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships (5.89m) and set a season-best mark of 6.07m in a fourth place finish at the Miami Gatorade Invitational…finished seventh in the triple jump at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships (12.27m) and fifth at the Hurricane Invitational with a season-best mark of 12.44m…finished fifth in the heptathlon at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships, compiling a season-best 4,721 points.

HIGH SCHOOL: Virginia Beach Sports Club Co-Athlete of the Year… a four-time All-State selection… winner of 10 state, nine region, and 19 district titles during her career… state indoor champion in the long jump, and state outdoor champion in high jump and triple jump as a senior… won state indoor titles in the long jump and triple jump, and ran the second leg of the state outdoor champion 4×100-meter relay as a junior… as a sophomore captured the state indoor and outdoor titles in the long jump and triple jump… team finished third in Virginia the last two years… team captain as a senior… team MVP all four years… holds all Salem High and district outdoor jumping records (long jump, triple jump, high jump)… Virginia Pilot Female Athlete of the Year runner-up in 2001, 2002 and 2003… was runner-up in the triple jump at the 2003 National Scholastic Indoor Championships…also played basketball… graduated with honors and an advanced diploma… coached by Shreece Purham-Lewis and George Porter.

PERSONAL: Full name is Amy Davida Seward… born March 6, 1985… daughter of David and Diane Seward… has three sisters, Joyia (17), Destiny (11), and Justice (9)… undecided on a major… enjoys playing video games, watching movies, and playing cards in her free time… favorite athlete is Marion Jones because of her dedication and her love for the sport.
