Miami Athletics Launches Canes for South Florida Ticket Program
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – In an effort to recognize the individuals and organizations who help serve and strengthen the local community, University of Miami Athletics announced its “Canes for South Florida” initiative Thursday.
Miami Athletics is providing eligible educators, healthcare workers, first responders, military personnel and government employees access to exclusive ticket opportunities for select Hurricanes home games in 2026 and beyond.
Canes for South Florida was created to acknowledge those who teach, protect and serve, and their importance in our community.
“Canes for South Florida is about more than providing accessible access to Miami Hurricanes games and events, it’s about investing in the people who make South Florida our home,” said University of Miami Chief Revenue Officer Jesse Marks. “Every day, educators, healthcare workers, first responders, military personnel and government employees show up for South Florida, and we want to show up for them.”
Using an eligible school, employer, military or government email address, individuals can submit their information for consideration.
Registration is free for eligible individuals. Miami Athletics will review and confirm eligibility, while verified members will receive notifications when ticket and/or event opportunities become available.
“As the home team, the Hurricanes have a responsibility to be deeply connected to the community we represent,” Marks said. “This program is one way we can say thank you, create more accessible opportunities to experience Miami Hurricanes Athletics events and strengthen the connection between the Miami Hurricanes and the South Florida community.”
Ticket opportunities are subject to availability and may vary by game. Registration does not guarantee access to or availability of ticket offers.
