Diving Impresses at Texas Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas — Highlighted by multiple first-place finishes, the Miami Hurricanes diving program enjoyed a strong weekend at the Texas Invitational hosted by the University of Texas.

Veterans Emma Gullstrand (362.85) and Chiara Pellacani (362.40) took the top two finishes on Friday night on the 3-meter springboard, while Matteo Santoro (404.10) and Jake Passmore (375.96)  did the same on the men’s side on the 1-meter. Gullstrand captured top honors on the 3-meter, while Santoro did the same on the 1-meter in dominant fashion.

The Hurricanes continued their success on the board switch, with both duos trading impressive performances.

Pellacani (320.25) won the 1-meter while Gullstrand (303.00) took second. Passmore (394.15) was second on the 3-meter, and Santoro (386.85)  finished third.

Margo O’Meara added a fifth-place finish on the 1-meter.

Miami continues its season at the Hawkeye Invite on the University of Iowa campus starting Nov. 18.
