
Hebron, Women’s 4x400m Relay Advance to Event Finals
EUGENE, Oregon — University of Miami track and field’s Sanaa Hebron and women’s 4x400m relay team of Serena Tate, Gabriella Grissom, Alyssa Robinson and Hebron advanced their respective event finals Thursday on day two of the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field.
Hebron qualified for the 400m hurdle final as an automatic qualifier as the junior placed fourth in semifinals with a time of 55.73. The Newtown, Pennsylvania, native will compete in Saturday’s final at 10:27 p.m. ET.
The women’s 4x400m relay posted the program’s fifth-fastest time in program history at 3:28.61. The quartet placed sixth overall in the semifinals and will close out the four-day event Saturday at 11:21 p.m.
In the women’s javelin, Deisiane Teixeira placed 21st with a throw of 48.03m.
Miami returns to action Friday with Desmond Coleman in the men’s discus at 5:15 p.m. and Kennedy Sauder in the men’s high jump at 7:30 p.m.
